Fabulous Finnish Gala / Suurenmoinen Suomi Gaala

The list of performers for the Finnish Gala was amazing, just reading it you knew you was going to see something very special.
Our host for the evening was due to be the wonderful Lafayette Lestrange, but due to unforeseen circumstances this was not to be, and so Bettie Blackheart, Frank Doggenstien and Kiki Hawaiji stepped in to cover, and they did a terrific job at such short notice.
Starting us off Bettie first introduced us to the Pick up Girls for the evening, the enchanting Betties Angels.
It was a treat to have the pick up people doing a small routine for us, and they did a very good and enjoyable number. I say small but of course that is an understatement, they had obviously worked very hard at learning the routine, and all the hard work paid off on the night.
Now with the Pick Up Girls doing a routine it left Bettie with the task of finding someone to do the pick up after them.
Well we all thought she had found the perfect help in the shape of Börje Runkvist, but as it turned out he wanted to give us a show of his very own, and this waiter showed there was more to his talents than collecting the odd glass.
Unfortunately the lighting for some of the performances was not very good for picture taking, so not all of the performances will have pictures to accompany them, as I am not able to find pictures that do justice to those performances.
Once Bettie was able to restore order we were treated to three members of the Itty Bitty Tease Cabaret with their new Savage Girls number. This number was a good show case of how well these ladies work and move together, and even the emergence of Indiana Jones during their routine may at first of startled them, but did not put them off their stride once they composed themselves. Unfortunately this is one of the performances where I do not have a decent quality picture to show you, so you will have to watch for when they are next performing to catch this most enjoyable new number.
Next Mimi de Silk became the cleaning lady that every bachelor would be happy to employ, with her enjoyment and fun shining throughout the whole performance, it was a delight for everyone to witness.
After this it was to have been Finnish Blonde Burlesque Troupe, but as mentioned Lafayette Lestrange was not able to perform, so instead we were treated to Mimi de Froufrou and Bent van de Bleu.
Bent did a fantastic job at such short notice in learning this number so quickly. This was a really entertaining number and took more than one direction, Mimi was a joy as ever in this well thought out and executed routine.
Next Stella Polaire performed her new number. Her custom made head piece was really amazing, but things did not stop there, Stella also had on High Heels with no Heels, yes you read correct they had no heels, oh there is more, she had spray on latex gloves and stockings.
Rudie Ruthless & Lucie Goodness performance was yet another of the great performances of the evening, they are another duo who move and work so well together, performances like these are always a delight for the audience.
This was the first time I had seen Mallas Athene perform, and it was a true joy. Mallas had brought her pet horse with her along with all her enthusiasm and enjoyment, and it showed all through the performance.
If you like your cocktails with a little spice, Cherry Dee Licious is the lady you want to be serving you. This lady has a way with her cocktails that you certainly want to see, and yes Mr Bond that is shaken and not stirred. Time for another round I think.
Rudie Ruthless decided it was time for a break and to do some peaceful and relaxing fishing, what he had not banked on was Thee Kitty Daisies (the darling pets of Thee Dizzy Daisies), as soon as he had a few fish in his pale, and thoughts of a nice fish supper on his mind, these little darlings showed up, using all their tricks to take his attention so that they could help themselves to his catch. It was not difficult to work out what kitten belonged to which daisy.
Tinker Bell brought us her brand new Tigger Bell big cat. This new routine is a good addition to her ever growing repertoire, and she performs this with so much fun and enjoyment you cant help but follow her lead and enjoy every moment of it.
Any body who has seen or met the iiiksotic Kiki Hawaiji knows that this lady dreams of the Tropics, and that canned foods are just not for her. So upon finding that the stores are selling more and more tinned goods does not impress her, and she will readily cast these aside for fresh apples, bananas, and oranges to create her very own fresh fruit tropical salad. All the energy stored in the real fruit combine to give her all the energy she needs to delight everyone with her sunny performances.
Little did we know but we were in the Helsinki hideout for the Tampere Gangster Duo, Holy Curves. The villainous pair are well known for stealing the hearts of the audience with their well worked and thought out routines. Unfortunately I do not have any of their wanted posters to show you, but if you see them there is a reward. What is the reward? The pleasure of their routines.
If you are going to gamble there is one thing you want, and that is the cards stacked in your favour, plus having lady luck on your side wont go amiss either. The ever fun Welma Jackpot was trying all the tricks in her book to make sure everything was in her favour, as it seemed she had every intention of becoming Mr Trumps next apprentice. All I can say is, look out Mr Trump as I think she will be after the big chair next.
Bettie Hellsinki Hellcat Blackheart unleashed the Hellcat and once again gave everyone a fantastic new performance. Bettie just keeps coming up with surprises for her routines, and the power and energy is always channelled so well. Just by watching you can see how much work and planning goes into each of her routines.
Closing out the performances for the evening Titania Hill teamed up with HellMonty (Max Logoff, Frank Doggenstein, Bent Van Der Bleu, Sir Willy Waterlily, Randy of Finland, Mia Li Moon, Mela Lugosi), to bring us their version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. What a performance this was, it was totally fun all the way, and the enjoyment showed on the performers faces as well, they all had so much fun doing this that nobody was left in any doubt they had just seen a great show. I can honestly say Disney was never like this.
Our music maestro’s for the evening were the wonderfully talented Fiona Timantti and Aino A.
