Midsummer in Tampere

Like the train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi that VR put on especially for Juhannus (midsummer), midsummer has come and gone, but left us with some fond memories, of friends and fun, and warm nights.
The midsummer train was being televised both nationally and internationally, it would be seen in Finland, Germany, and France. At each of the stops there would be some happenings, and in Tampere we was lucky that they had requested there would be Burlesque. This would of course take a lot of planning and organising, so to start with our thanks go out to all those that took an active part in making this work, you know who you are.
Unfortunately due to my own busy schedule I was unable to make it to the first performances, but I understand that the performers were entertaining, and I hope to see Cinnamon Dust another time, that does not mean that I do not want to see the others, but I know I will be seeing them again soon.
I was however in time to see the return to the stage of Stella Polaire, and she did not disappoint, it was a wonderful treat to witness her Jazz Devil.
Next was the always lovely Mimi de Froufrou as the airhostess, oh wait should that be stewardess, erm nope maybe it is cabin crew? Cabin staff? Flight Attendant? Well it is something like that these days, I just cant keep up with correct terms for everything, so lets just enjoy Mimi de Froufrou.
Now it was time to introduce another performer I have been waiting to see Cherry Le Bon, I assure you that the wait was well and truly worth it.
After Cherry Le Bon there was a short break while we awaited the arrival of the midsummer train, but soon enough our wait would be over and our entertainment would continue in the most spectacular way.
Stella Polaire had now changed from her performance outfit into a lovely dress for her role as hostess, but now the train was here along with the TV Cameras, so viewers from 3 different countries were now focused on Tampere, Finland and Stella Polaire as she introduced Finnish Blonde Burlesque Troupe.
They performed their amazing Invisible light routine, and represented everyone involved in Finnish Burlesque extremely well.
The cameras left us, but they missed out on what was to come, and that was the return of cherry Le Bon, and this time she was joined by the remarkable Larry Mood, in what I can only describe as a must see performance.
As mentioned earlier our Hostess for the entertainment was Stella Polaire.
The pick up had been performed by the shiny and new Ursula Dolores
If you feel you want to see more than just these few pictures there is a recording of the Juhannuslaturi in Tampere on youtube, this is part of the actual TV coverage (the burlesque performance is about 20 mins into this recording).
